See Superstar David Beckham
Look who's kicking it in Minneapolis. On November 11, the Hubert H. Humphrey Metrodome will play host to international soccer superstar David Beckham and his team, the Los Angeles Galaxy, in the inaugural Copa Minnesota match against the Minnesota Thunder.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit various children’s charities such as Thunder P.L.U.S. and Foundation IX.

Two Art Legends in Town
This fall, the works of Georgia and Frida visit Minneapolis. The Walker Art Center and the Minneapolis Institute of Arts play host to 2 of the most distinctive artists of the 20th century, Frida Kahlo and Georgia O' Keeffe. Singular in style and differing approaches give art enthusiasts much to ponder.

Mall of America expansion
Kimpton Hotels will begin contruction of a 200-room, luxury boutique hotel attached to the south end of the Mall in 2007. This Phase II is set to include a Bass Pro Shop and a 6,000 seat auditorium.
