Winter, spring, summer or fall – no matter the season, visitors
will find it's festival time in Minneapolis. Spring plays host to Cinco
de Mayo celebrations, Art-A-Whirl and a May
Day parade with larger-than-life puppets. Summer is the perfect
time for one of the Midwest's largest outdoor art festivals –
Metris Uptown Art Fair, plus the country's biggest Fringe
Festival with more than 750 theater performances.

Summer in Minneapolis truly shines. Visitors enjoy celebrating with locals
at our official civic celebration
–Minneapolis
Aquatennial– 2 weeks filled with outdoor events, live music, food
and entertainment. Great live music is also heard at the Basilica
Block Party (local and national acts outside, yes, a church) and the Hot
Summer Jazz Festival (10 days of music on
stages throughout the area). Minneapolis Mosaic celebrates all summer long with art and cultural events all around the city.
Autumn kicks off with a step back in time at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival. And, of course, with winter comes the famous Winter Carnival in St. Paul. This classic celebrates all things wintry.
Minneapolis MOSAIC
2007 marks the 5th year of Minneapolis MOSAIC – a celebration
of local arts and culture. Take part in diverse events including
a kick-off party, a closing parade and many arts activities
in between.
