Light Rail Transit

Minneapolis is compact and easy to get around no matter what mode of transportation you choose.
Metro Transit operates one of the largest public transportation systems in the country, and provides 73 million bus
trips annually. Taxi service is also readily available at reasonable rates.
Hop on the bus
Riding public transportation is a convenient and inexpensive way to get
around. Fares range from $1.25 to $2.75, depending on time of day.
Hop in a cab
Cab services are available anywhere in the metro area. Catch a taxi at the Minneapolis Convention Center and any hotel, or
call ahead for service.
Hop on the train
Light Rail Transit (LRT) has arrived in Minneapolis! The new Hiawatha Line runs from the Warehouse District in downtown,
to Historic Fort Snelling, both airport terminals and Mall of America. Seventeen stations provide access to the brand new
Hiawatha Line.
